Functional Materials Incorporated is devoted to developing and marketing specialty color effects and materials for use in merchandising consumer products. Towards that end, the FM Group manufactures a wide range of standard and custom-made colorants.

FM special color effect products are available as screen-printing inks for radiation-curable, solvent-based, and water-based printing, color concentrates in a variety of forms for special effects plastics, or as a pigment so that customers can supply their own customized carrier vehicle.

Since 1985 Functional Materials’ proprietary colorant technology has been used to help develop the brand identity for major consumer credit cards industry, including the Gold and Platinum programs for Visa, Mastercard / Europay, American Express, Citibank and other major national and international card issuers.

Lustre colors and special effects such as marble/granite are a major focal point for the company.
