PressLAM Laminates

PressLam Liquid Laminate is a family of coating products produced by FM Group Inc. for use as a protective layer in the production of cards. The coatings are used as replacement for the typical clear overlay films. These coatings are applied to the printed sheet, cured, and after a short lamination cycle, are finished as a conventional PVC overlay clad card. The PressLam Liquid Laminate accepts all of the standard stampings and personalization processes. The cards behave as if the were a conventional card.

WINK PressLam Liquid Laminate has been proven successful in non-secure gift cards, being used in the production of an estimated 20 million cards. Wink PressLam Liquid Laminate has been shown to reduce card production costs by 25% over the use of overlay films in card production processes. Initial market for this development has been promotional cards. Upon additional production and testing, WINK PressLam Liquid Laminate usage is expected, at first, in branded gift cards, then standard 3 year financial card may be anticipated, especially in the lower cost designs.
